.223 ammo

hey i was at a gun show this past weekend and saw some 223 ammo with a plastic case i was just wondering if anyone else had seen these and what the purpose is and if there is any advantages or disadvantages to these

I have a old guns and ammo magazine. 1990's they claimedit was lighter and reloadable. Which I find questionable on both counts. I think there is a good reason that they are not popular or still being made. they also made them in 9mm. Weird idea don't fix whats not broke.
