Winchester XP3 ammo ???

has anyone tried these I'm thinking of trying these in my new 300 WSM because I'm having a hard time finding ammo for this gun in my area can't get Federal ballastic tips or nosler partitions gun shops said"ALL SOLD OUT DON'T KNOWIF WE CAN GET ANY BEFORE HUNTING SEASON STARTS"

I just got a box of 150grs this past weekend and tried them. I had sighted the gun in with Gxp2 150gr ballistic tips and the XP2 Supreme Elites grouped about 1/8" higher. I'm not even going to touch the scope. I'm not a big bllistic tip fan and I think these XP's will be better for penetration and knock down.

I wanted to find some federal partitions but like you said they are scarce for some reason. Not sure.

The only thing I don't like about this gun is the ammo selection...which I think will get better with time....and the fact that you can't just go try a box of ammo for it b/c it cost $40 per box. Hopefully that will get better w/time as well!!!!!

Otherwise I can't wait to pop a deer with it!

think I'll get a box of 180's and try like you said having a hard time finding anything for the 300 WSM but I found 180 grain Nosler Partition that I'm going to try also
