I know this is not the right forum but I haven't gotten any 'hits' in the classifed forum and November is just around the corner.

Looking for Rem. 760 Carbine.308 ingood+ condition. I've tried a few of the bigger popular web-sites but no luck. [&o]

Thanks for your patience.

I have one. I bought it last year in good condition for $300. I will keep my eyes open for you . I know a few guys who own them.

I love the way this gun shoots.

Rem makes some special production guns, you might catch the 308 new in carbine. I show 3006 for sale, so you never know. Go buy a new one and cut it off, most gunsmiths can do a good crown job.

Thanks sc003ro, any help would be appreciated. $300 is just about what I want to spend also.

Ideaman, I had the same thought about buying a new 7600 in .308 and having the barrel cut and re-crowned. That option will cost mea lot more than $300, soI'm going to hold off a bit andkeep looking awhile longer. With my luck I'llbuy the 7600, get it the way I want and a 760 carbine will show up.

I've been checking the web-sites, but just about all of the 760 carbines were in .30-06, with one .270 oddly.

Thanks again for your help guys and keep me posted.
