Benelli Nova Need Input Soon

im going to bit a nova this saturday i need to know if i can shoot slugs out of the factory barrell or if i have to change it.....

When you say factory barrel, do you mean bird barrel???? Benelli now makes a slug barrel for the Nova. I bought the cantilever mount barrel and put a scope on it. Some people don't like scopes on their shottys, so you can either do open sights or buy a cant mount slug barrel. I also believe you can buy the combo as well. Check with your gun dealer. More than likely you will have to special order that barrel. I haven't seen any dealers stock this barrel yet. Hope it all helps.

I am pretty sure you can. I wouldn't. I have shot slugs out of bird barrels before. Not very accurate and I believe it is pretty rough on the barrel. I would call Benelli to make sure.

You can shoot slugs out of it no problem, just make sure you do NOT have a full choke in, IC would be best, and some guys even shoot Mods with no problems.

You might want to check into it from a better source, but I thought you were supposed to only shoot 3 1/2" slugs out of a 3 1/2" chamber. I could be wrong, but I thought I read that somewhere.
