If you plan on putting a scope on it the marlin is alot easier and cheaper to set up with one. Otherwise as said before, whichever one you prefer.

I really like the Marlin, both are great guns. Ithink the Marlin is better made.

I vote marlin, especially if youre scoping it, as is already said above
