This gun shoots great groups with Winchester 3" slugs. It holds a very tight shot pattern out to 40 yards, best is Winchester SuperX #4Buck but patterning of any Winchester Buckshot was acceptable. I have killed deer, squirrel and turkey with this weapon! Aside from a wicked looking home defence weapon it is a very capable piece in the field.
The laser system is advertised as 500 yards and I have tested the beam out to 250 with great results. Very bright, consistant size and very easy to locate even in mild-light situataions during hunts. Hip shooting is simple with this bright light... aiming is equally simple with the red dot scope. The dots in the scope and out of the laser look very similar, making for easy target aquisition no matter how you ready the weapon in a hurry. This thing is the epitomy of jumpshooting!
