RE: .30-06 Winchester Question
The Ranger is an economy version of the Win. Model 70, it was initroducted in 1985, I can't find an ending date of production. Weighs 7 1/8 lbs, American hardwood stock no checkering, composition buttplate, matte blue finish 22" or 24" barrel, should hold 4 rounds in the mag. in 30-06.
Listed Manufacturer Suggested Retail new: $503
Perfect condition: $370
Excellent: $320
VGood: $235
This is according to Modern Gun Values 12th edition (a couple years old)
From what you say I think a VGood+rating sounds reasonable but there is little detail, maybe add a few dollars for the scope but not much if it is a cheapie. How is the metal finish? You say it shoots well right, that is what really counts!
