Already done. Winchester is just the name bought off of winchester ammo, for US repeating arms to put on the guns and US repeating arms decided to drop almost all rifle lines besides a few shotguns and 1885, and a silly new repeater.

So pretty well they are done.

Where you been hiding? The plant closed down last year and they quit making mod 94's and mod 70's and everybody ran out and bought up all of these models they could find.HCH

About the only mod 70's that I see for sale are the wssm's. These are selling poorly by all gun manufacturers. BTW, welcome to the forum; good to have another gun head here.HCH

Actually, there has been NO Winchester company for many years. The outfit was purcased by Olin, a chemical company that makes powder and ammunition, years back. Olin then "leased" the Winchester trademark to a company called U.S. Repeating Arms Co. (USRAC) for use on the Winchester line of rifles and shotguns. Later on, USRAC was bought out by the Belgian company that owned Fabrique National and Browning. This outfit continued making "Winchester" guns in New Haven Conn. up until early this year, when they closed the plant due to losing money every year on those guns. The "Winchester" Model 70, the M94 rifle, and the M1300 shotgun were the guns that are no longer being made.....
