looking for good deer hunting rifle

I really like the Tikka T3 stainless guns, plus they come with a guarantee of 3 shots within a one-inch grouping,but they are a couple hundred dollars out of my price range. I know i could probably get a remington 700 or Browning A-bolt for a little over $500, but is there any other rifles that perform well that are under $500. (or do you know of any places i can get those guns for less). I prefer a stainless stock and im goin for a 30/06 caliber.

i would spend the extra buck and get a rem 700 in a .270

Here you go,stainless t-3 on sale for $585.By the way the tikka accuracy standard is 5 shots in 1" at 100 yards.

I would have to stick with Browning. I really enjoy shooting my BAR Safari. Although a little pricy it still is a very nice looking gun.

Go Tikka if you can afford it. Otherwise, consider a Savage. They're not my cup of tea, but they are known to be accurate and come at a decent price.

Sounds like you are sold on the Tikka? I would save up and buy the Tikka or buy a Savage. The 30-06 is the most popular selling caliber year after year. If you are flexable on caliber & rifle brand? You might find a good buy at a gun show or online? Try www.gunsamerica.com
