Default ruger pistols

Just recently i was examining a couple of ruger pistols (mark 1 and mark 2) and i was wondering what are the differences between the two ? they seem almost identical in every aspect. thanks for any help

The only glaring difference that I know of is that the MkI use 9 rd magazines and the MKIIs use 10 rnd magazines.

I thought the slide locked back on an empty magazine on a Mk II. I know it doesn't on a Mk I.
