Default Does the 25wssm really have the same ballistics as the 25-06

Thinking of getting a 25-06 and said to myself, what about the 25wssm.
Dothese new rounds really have the same ballistics as their big brother?I am look at this gun as a long range varmint/coyote/antelope/bench rifle and will be reloading. Any thoughts?

I think the 25WSSM is going to have a short life.I would stick with a 25-06 myself which actually is too bad since I ama fan of short action rifles.

Yea...definifately get a bull bbl heavy laminate gun for all day pleasure and reduced recoil. Savage puts out a dandy.

For your applications, including reloading..no

For generic use with factory ammo, they are close enough to say yes.

Is that the only reason? I don't normally sell a gun, I am just looking for a great performing gun

I would go with your heart than..compare the ballistics and make your choice...all I know is that when winchester closed their doors that mod 70's were snatched up by collectors and gun buffs....all except for the wssm's.

Hate to get off topic but what do you mean "when Winchester closed it's doors"?
