Its a US military (air force I think) survival gun. I forget who makes it but I think it was in the '70s. If I remember, I'll get back to you.

iv seen a few at gun shows, useually in 9mm or 40cal on top with 410 or 20 on bottom. its a survial gun of sorts that is to be broken down for easy C&C in gear. the ones i saw didnt have a ammo compartment on them tho. its a ugly rifle but if you have nothing else i suppose it would get the job done and put food down for you.

i did see one with 223 or 22lr on top with 20ga on bottom now that i think of it, i will try to get a pic/link.

I believe it was called a Springfield M6"Scout" rifle.

That is a Springfield Armory M6 Scout. Check their website for all the poop.

Getting old, parking lots filled and just cannot remember important the important things any more! Good going Reb, as usual.

That's it. Mine here is a .410 .22. They discontinued them last year. They also came in stainless. I took my trigger guard off like the originals so it folds up more compact. Great little back pack survival gun. They do still sell a pistol scout I believe.

A friend of mine owns one. I watchet it pop open by itself when a 410 shell was fired. When I was asked if I wanted to fire the gun I politely declined.
I think the gun looks crudely made and more attention to things like shell storage than important things like fit and finish
