Magazine problem on Mossberg

I,m having a problem with shells getting hung up in the magazine on my 835. Looking down through the reciever port I can see it caught on the stop bar & if I put a little pressure on the bar with my finger the shell will pop out. It only seems to happen with 3 & 3 1/2" but, 2 3/4's will do it occaisionally. Has anybody had this happen & any remedys out there for me? Thanks.

Did the gun just start doing this, or has it done it all along? If it's the former, I would start by just giving it a good cleaning and lubing. Particularly in the magazinetube itself. If it has always done this, I would either send it back to Mossberg or take it to a gunsmith. Good luck. Roskoe.

Have to agree with Roskoe, strip it apart completely, the receiver the elevator, etc, clean everything thoroughly and reassemble. If it continues, then time for gunsmith or factory to take a look or maybe replace a part.

I had the same problem , it always was with the 3 1/2's that got stuck. the local gun smith said it was a factory flaw. He did some light machining on the bevel area and it's been fine since.
