Default Armys shotgun...

ok guys...i need a little help.....for my American military expirience class we have to do a presentation on an Army subject....i said i would do shotguns.....figured with the specs...range...ammo ect i can talk about the 3-5 mins......someone here posted a link to military related stuff...maybe you guys can help me find it....im not looking for you guys to do my project.......the infantry came in the other day and had mossbergs...so if you guys cant help ill just do it on the 590....but if you can help that would be great........what shotgun do they carry now? basic load(210rds for the m-16) shells used ect.......links to sites would be awesome....ill hafta look around tonite after class to look myself...but someone posted a military field manual site or something and they had good info on there...i just dont know what site it was.......when i said shotguns he looked at me and said this better be good! so its going to be...i got 2 590s at home and 4 or 5 500s....if i wouldnt get kicked out of here id bring them all in lol...........but i can go home and take pics of ours at home.....im sure we got one that fits the military bill....so any help is appreicated...im not looking to have you guys do it for me....links will be great...but anyone know exzactly what they carry? that will be a BIG help...thanx guys

Best I can say is that my local Military Police Company now uses Mossberg Model 500's, 12 gauge cylinder bore. No bayonet lug. They got rid of their 870's.

Bet if you called your own National Guard and asked to speak with an MP company, you could find someone to give you graphic details. Of course, they would want to sign you up.

thanx guys.....im gunna do a little searching now......the infantry had mossbergs...pretty stock....parkerized...extended magazine.....thats about it.....i wasnt too impressed....benellis site says that the USMC uses their M4....man thats a bad lookin gun though!!! id do it on that....but them army guys talk bad about every other branch of the military......i should do it on both.....and say the superior USMC uses SUPERIOR shotguns lol.......they DO back it up when they talk crap by saying they are all a group.....but they talk alot of crap......sayin the airforce dont do anything but "give them rides" and the USMC dont realize they are part of the NAVY yet.....ect ect......ill search and see what i find...if i cant find anything exzact then ill email one of the teachers.....or just do it on the mossberg.....

I am carrying the Mossberg 500 right now, most of the ones in the BDE are the same. I do think that there are some Remingtons too, though cant swear. Then again, some riflemen are carrying the M14, 7.65, full metal jacket! [8D]

I know it's not exactly what you asked for, but, the U.S. Navy when I was in used Rem 870's and according to in son-in-law, still uses the 870.
