Default Stoeger Model 2000?

Does anyone have expierience with these guns? They seem like Benelli's that pretty much have a different stock. Looks like one of the best values for a autoloader on the market, I would have money to buy one after I work this summer. Any reviews on this gun would be great, with the good and bad details.

Same internals as the benneli. Inertia and everything. I have a 3.5 inch pump and this will be my next shotgun purchase. I want one in Max4. But they only come in 3 inch.

Good luck on the shopping.

Great shotgun. Do a search on the forum. I have posted about this before. Check the Turkey hunting area.

It's only 3 inch, but I don't think that would affect performance that much. On chuckhawks it says that 3 1/2" barely offers and advantage. I'm not sure if that's totally true, but it seems plents of people are happy with 3" mags.

What are you going to hunt with it? That what really matters when deciding on if you need 3 1/2" shells.

I have hunted turkey with both, the 3 1/2's just give you a bit more range. For someone my size I didn't feel the recoil was worth it. I was shooting pumps though, not autos. I am happy with a 3 inch magnum turkey load. I might get a 10 ga barrel for my H&R though.
