Best varmit rifle P.dogs to coyotes 223,22-250,222,243

I am looking @ a Tikka in a .223 or 22-250 with a Nikon Monarch 6-20 x44mm.I knowammo is cheaperfor .223& wind drift is an issue in lighter cal. I don't know if long range shooting is much of an issue with these 2 cal.? Any input on any of my questions or other advice would be greatly appreciated. Thanks

If you'll be doing high volume shooting...go .223. 22-250 costs considerabley more and will "burn-out" a barrel much faster. Now, if you go up to the 243 in your subject title, you open the door to deer hunting If you don't plan to put more than 100-200 rounds a year through the gun, you shouldn't worry about the 22-250 barrel.

If you got to walk in, 223, if your going to drive close to your shooting area it doesnt matter. Though the points made eariler are important,about barrel life and expense. If you are going to do high volume shooting ,you can carry much more 223 ammo than you can 22-250
