How do you like your rifle? How ugly is the recoil in such a light gun?

I like mine. Recoil is not a problem. I am currently working on a load for the Barnes triple shock in 165gr. I shoot about 20 rounds from the bench each time I go. I also have a .338 RUM & the recoil doesn't bother me either, although it is ported. Other than a litlle practice shooting form the bench, I like to practice sitting or over my pack. You just don't notice the recoil.

When I bought my Montana I was a little dissapointed in that it needed a trigger job and the magazine spring was too weak so it wouldn't feed from the magazine. I had thought about sending it back, but decided to pay my gunsmith $35 instead. Works great now.
