Default Win 264. Magnum

I'am looking to purchase a Winchester 264. XTR magnum 99%+ condition, never fired, but lacking box & paper work, whats a fair price to pay for this Rifle ??

Blue Book says around $400 .. But you need to pay what you think it is worth, They aren't making any more. And with winchester going out of business who knows. I pd $400 for mine in 1992 with a scope ..Bill

I'd pass on it. You can buy a new SPS Remington in a non-obsolete caliber of similar performance (like the .270 WSM) for less. I think you could even get a stainless one for $495.

Shooting wise I would pass as well. Collecting wise I think the price is pretty good.

The .264 Win. Mag. is not an obsoletecaliber, but it must have at least a 26" barrel to be able to do better ballistically than the plain old .270 Win.vs

Ok guys Thanks on the info, Since Remington is making a .264 FL I'll look into that gun ..........By the way I'am a shooter & a Collector, That Win 264 is one sweet looking rifle But money talks....& I rather save it to spend perhaps on that Remington...

Thanks again

Ever consider a 6.5mm Rem Mag? I believe I saw one on Gunsamerica.com for right around $500.00 a week or so ago! Man, I love those little Rem. 600's and 660's. And the new 673 (?) is a beaut, also!
