You should be on the paper at 100 yards.

The rifle looks good, I have been thinking about getting one of those too.

I bought the same rifle in .308 . Out of the box I put three shots 1/2 inch grouping at 100 yards but it was down and to theright by about 4 inches. I few shots later I had it dead on and sighted for 200 yards.

I am extremely pleased with the performance of this rifle. The accu-trigger is fantastic! And suprisingly the simmons scope has performed very well for me this past deer season and is continuing to be an excellent scope for hunting at night for hogs.

Rightybuckmaster, I just brought a savage model 16 7mm wsms this past Nov. It was not bore sighted. I boresighted the rifle myself. But a Great rifle! Two deer this @ 200 + yards. They drop like a rock....

Pull the bolt and look thru the barrel. Block the rifle sollidly in a rest and look thru your barrel, back your eye away from the receiver until you see a smaller picture of the bore, then center the target in the bore and adjust the scope to center it also. Just make sure you dont move your rifle. This is as good as any boresighter, you just cant do it with auto's,pumps or levers! Also you should shoot one round at your target and if you hit it, then aim back at your original aiming point and very carefully without moving your gun adjust your cross hairs to the point of your bullet impact. This should have you sighted in, although you need to fire a few more shots to confirm your zero, it will save you some ammo!
