Can I expect good results for whitetail, useing winchesters accubond ct 140gr in my 270 wsm. or is there a better factory bullet out there, for ranges from 100 to 400 yards. thanks
The 140 Accubond is one of the best all around bullets for this caliber. Tough enough for elk and still expands on something aslightly constructedas an antelope. I would also think the factory 130 grain Ballistic Silvertip would be a good whitetail load - and if you handload, there are a whole bunch of possibilities.

If deer only knew how much damage they could do to us hunters with a different attitude. They'd be sneaking up behind us trying to get their G2's between our ribs while we day dream [8D]

And the squirrels. Think about it. I was half asleep one day about 30ft in a tree when a squirrel and I almost had a fight. He jumped on my stand and I jumped and yelledand and leaped on my leg and freaked me out. I thought the squirrels were attacking. I wouldn't want to take one on.
Sorry guys for hijacking the post about when animals attack. I feel drunk tonight. I don't think its a good idea for a diabetic to eat half a sheet of choc. brownies.[X(]
I use 130 Nosler Bt in my 270Wsm and have had very good outcomes. I alsotried some Barnes 130grn XLC bullets and they grouped awesome but havent tried them out on an animal yet.
Are you sure there wasnt anything "extra" in those brownies. You didnt buy them off of some hippie did you.
