Default NEF Question

I recieved a NEF Handi Rifle from an uncle for Christmas this year, I've never owned a NEF, but I really like how small it is, I need to check the barrel length. My question's are, are they good shooters? Any dislikes of these models? I don't know if I'm going to like the single shot, but one shot one kill, any info would be great.

Either you will have a shooter or not. These guns are very mass produced and the quality control is not what the more expensive guns are. NEF has made improvements in the extractors and other areas.
The problem lies in the way the hinge closes. If it is a good snug fit and is not sloppy great. Leave it alone. Take it out and shoot it and see what you have.

Ditto the graybeardoutdoor.com forum, they have alot of good info. on the NEF on that site. Besure to read all the stickys on the NEF Centerfire forum. I own a couple of rifles and different barrels to fit. My most accurate is the 25-06 Ultra in 26'' barrel,223 standard in 22",450 Marlin, and the 7mm-08in 22". The first 3 shoot to my liking but the 7mm needs some more tinkering. Some shoot good out of the box and some will make you pull your hair out. I forgot the 50cal Huntsman,it shoots a 3" group with iron sights. Zeak

I have one in 243 and I love it! It is reliable and accureate. I shot a doe that dressed out at 110 with it this year. They usually work just fine! Mine took at bit of breaking in with the extractor. Make the first shot count! EJ
