Default Forum Slowness

Is anyone else experience major slowness on the forum. It is starting to bother me. I surf from two different machines on different feeds. My work feed is a T3 which is fast!

Moderators any chance this will be fixed etc...

Thanks
Tom

Yes, I'm on Fiber Optic which is really fast and this forum is slow. I'm on other forums and have no problems with the speed!

Slow here too with both T1 and DSL connections.

Seems there is some 'handshaking' going on. There should be no reason why info is being requested from my computer except from the cookie. Why is excessive uplink/downlink activity being seen? This is NOT normal for a message board.

Mine varies, sometimes it is pretty fast, others it takes a while to load. If I click on something and it doesn't work I just click on it until it does. Like if I want to make a post and the window doesn't fill in right away I close it and click on it again. Eventually it will pop right up. However if you click on it and wait it can take forever sometimes. The only time you can't do this is when you are posting someting you have already typed. If you click on that more than one time you will get multiple posts. I just click on it and continue browsing until it posts.

I have cable connection by the way. You want slow, go to greybeards forum! It doesn't even load for me half the time.

Paul

Yah, it varies a whole bunch for me on my DSL. Sometimes, I just have to quite because I cannot page down a hot topic. Aaargh! Bandwidth, I suppose.

I believe alot of it has to with all the guys that have these (in my opinion), silly bannersall over the bottom of their posts. When they switched to the new service/servers I believe they asked people to reduce their use of them.

If this really is the problem I wish they would just got rid of them altogether. I don't need to see some guys banner...like a personal advertisement... on everyone of their posts.

Welcome back to dial up. I haven't noticed a difference, but then can you really get much slower than the speed of paint drying?
