Default Rem 700 XCR, what do you all think?

I recently joined a hunting club in Tupper Lake NY and have discovered a need for a more "weather-proof" rifle. My A-Bolt Micro Hunter in .308 is a great gun, but doesn't like the moisture it is subjected to while trudging through the swamps and timber on the club, especially after a new snowfall. I was going to buy a Stainless Stalker to use there, but the new 700 XCR has also caught my eye. What are your impressions of the XCR? Does anyone have one yet? I already know what a Browning will do. Thanks in advance.

I bought mine this past September and I'm pleased with it. I was looking for something that would stand up to the weather while being dependable and accurate. I found it with the XCR. We had a lot of snow this year at my elk camp that I just didn't worry about with this gun. Get one and you'll not be disappointed.

I'm a big remington fan so id say get the xcr.I have a stainless remington and allthe snow rain walking throughtamarack swamps cant kill it and it shoots great. All my remingtons have been very accurate. But if you like browning Im sure the stainless stalker will hold up

Reddog like you style sweet gun Im getting one in the 270wsm with tax money or maybe half of it since cant keep a job long enough to pay any taxes so dont get much back looks like its pan handling again
