Another Encore 300wm? Brake or not

I have decided on an Encore 300wm barrel, Thanks to you guys. My question is, do I need to havea barrel with a muzzel brake on it to reduce recoil? I am not recoil sensative, so I can do it either way. I know it would be louder, THANKS

I would avoid the brake because of the noise factor.

I wouldn't. A good recoil pad is all you need for a WM.

i don't think i would either. the only time you will really notice the recoil is if you shoot all day. when that deer or elk walks out and you pull the trigger you won't feel it anyway.

I don't think there is that much kick in a 300WM. If you aren't recoil sensitive you shouldn't have a problem.

Save your money and get a LimbSaver recoil pad for it...
