right now i can't afford a lepold scope like i have wantd but saw this burris scope when looking. has any one tried this scope yet or any other burris scopes and like them as much as lepold" if so what exact model and size? im thinking 3-9x40 but also was wondering if there was much difference between that size and the 4.5-10x40 when looking thrugh them or are they pretty much the same.one more question. how far is it when they talk about the 3-9x40 beingmid range in yardage (aprox)?

The Burrus Fullfield II's are good solid scopes. I think, for the money, the new Bushnell Elite 3200's offer better optics. I don't know what kind of a deal you can get on the Burris FF2, but the Leupold Rifleman/VXI scopes are usually about the same price.

Bushnell elite 3200 in 3-9X40 is about $189 at swfa.com. Real nice scope, i have one on my 17hmr. The optics are crystal clear and very good light transmission.

I really like the fullfield II line of scopes. For the money its hard to go wrong with them. THe elite 3200 are good scopes but I like the asthetics of the Fullfield II better. I also really like the ballistic plex reticle. It is great for longer range shooting.

I own 11 Burris scopes, from a old fullfields to a euro diamond. (I also have 3 lupies and a Ziess) I really feel thatdollar for dollar they are one of the best scopes availible. I think optically they are a good scope and they are well (heavily) built.

Over the years I have managed to destroy tascos a simmons, two lupies but those burris seem to keep on trucking.

Before I bought my last scope I looked at a lot of comments on the SWFA forum. The one complaint that surfaced repeatedlywas that Burris customer service/warranty support was less than exemplary.

Overall Id reccomend the Fullfield II
