Default Encore 300wm owners, Do you like it?

I am looking at an Encore 300wm. Want to know if you like yours. Any thoughts on this caliber will be appreciated. THANKS

A friend of mine has a fairly nice gun collection. The Encore in 300 WM is his go to gun. He has taken deer with it at almost 500 yards from power line towers.

Just bought one, did not get around to shooting it. I hope it is everything I have heard about it.

Got one last week, sighted it in yesterday!! Very nice.. It does have a pretty good recoil, but i am spoiled, i been shooting a winchester m70 w/ a boss in 30-06 for 8 years. Right away though i got 1 1/2" groups at 100yds and i am not use to the gun nor have i gotten to experiment with ammo yet, i bought the federal fusion 150gr. I am making a three day hunt next week where there will be possibility of 250 to 350 yd shots. Wish me luck!!

doug, i have the encore in 300 mag as well as the .50 muzzleloader. i wouldn't take anything for mine. i'm very happy with both. they are extremely accurate, dependable and a blast to shoot.i shoot 150 grain remington core lokt cartridge and have yet to have to trail a deer, they fall right there, one deer turned a complete flip and i shot a deer at 209 yards with a heartshot,he went about 30 yards. the guns are great and i plan to put a 454 casull on it to hunt hogs.

THANKS EVERYONE
You have made my decision a little easier. I have a custom 300wm tactical. I have an Encore 209x50. I like the 300wm for range and was hoping to get one, because it would be lighter to pack.Just wasn't sure about recoil and accuracy. What distance do you sight in at? THANKS

doug, here in tennessee where i hunt it is extremely thick brush, and i sight in for somewhere between 100 yds but keeping in mind that a few fields are near in the event i see a deer there and knowing how drop is in a 150-200 yd shot. i shoot t/c shocwave saboted bullets and 100 grain of powder.shockwave bulletts really pattern well for me i tried powerbelts but had no luck with good patterns.
