Mause that ol gal looks GREAT too me! That's some pretty wood based on those pics. If it were anything but an 06 (I have 2 already) I would probably take it off your hands just for the heck of it. Valuewise I honestly don't deal with enough of them to know fair and reasonable. BUT I know a desirable rifle when I see one and your Mauser looks MUCH better than most "sporterized" ex war sticks floating around. Look on gunbroker.com, auctionarms.com and other places for perhaps some help in getting an idea.

I'll bea real pal and get it out of your sight for $100!

yes the wood is beautiful....its got an awesome cross grain that really makes it look great....and most ex war guns LOOK LIKE ex war guns....mine really doesnt...the gunsmith really tried hard to make it look good....the metal is definently turned down a bit...the printing on the barrel is all about taken off from when it was turned down...i wish i could read it! i can make out 3006 springfield and something about where it was made i think...i forget what it says i believe its a belgum..i really think when trading it i can get more then i paid for it...just because it looks so good...and is clean...sure the sights have a few war scars left...but thats character and history...after like 6 yrs hunting with it the stock is still in great shape...not to many dings in it at all.....maybe ill scrub it down real good and take it to a gunshop and see.....im not taking it back to where i bought it though......they rip you a new one when reselling even though they are my friends...and will rip me when buying my encore...thats just how they are...they wont buy it back until i tell them what i paid.....and they will take atleast 50 off of that......dad told me to askfor 200 when reselling it.....i think hes nuts...even though its not perfect it looks good and shoots good....i hate to part with it..and will kick myself later...but its time for a new rifle..and i want an encore lol......i dont know why...dad brought it up about me getting a new rifle and retiering the mauser...just because i want to make it better and it will cost alot to get it all done.....i wanted to add a new GOOD trigger(one of the things i HATE..military trigger....it breaks at like 20lbs! lol) and i wanted a dropping floor plate....i shoot much better then the gun..but its just the trigger...and im not going to put the money into it to get it to shoot better and still have a big heavy rifle thats not a heavy barrel.....
