I just recently bought a Remington Model 700 BDL in a 243 Win. The rifle doesnt have a detachable clip it just has the swinging door style magazine. I was wondering if it was possible to replace the magazine with a removable clip?

Why would anyone want to ruin a perfectly designed hunting rifle with a detachable MAGAZINE? They are easy to forget, often noisy and sometimes even fall out when you are walking around the woods.
I feel the same way, I like the internal mags myself. Some really don't like them though. I don't like external mags because that is normally where I rest the gun on my hand or arm.
I do like a removable plate.
