Has anyone shot one of these? How does it stack up to the 7mm and the 270 calibers? I have a 50 cal and a 300wm for the Encore, but I was thinking of another barrel to take out west that is not as powerfull as the 300wm. I wanta good caliberfor deer and other same sized game.

Balistics are almost identical to the 257 Roberts. I would take a look at the 25-06. Better performance, and it is easier to find ammo if you have to. Good luck
6.8 SPC right? I haven't seen very much factory ammo at all. There are many other smaller calibers that are more powerful and have more loadings than the 6.8.
