Winchester Model 1400 mkII 12 gge auto shotgun
Hi. I am mostly a handgunner and rifle shooter. in '04 I started hunting dove and rabbit so I bought a shot gun. I got what I thought was a steal. It is a Winchester model 1400 mkIi semi auto shotgun in 12 guage. walnut stock and I believe the action has some aluminium in it. It seems to be a pretty good gun. I apid 225 for it.
But I have recently heard some negative things about this gun and have read some negative things. Nothing specific but negative.
Do any of you have any info on these shotguns?

okcmco.
Sometimes you have to overlook some of the things said on this forum. You will allways get someone who has never owned or shot either the rifle or shotgun that you read/ask about here. BUT allways has an opinion on that perticular gun. I have owned a mod. 1400 for a few years now and have NEVER had a problem with it. It patterns great, and handles nice. Granted I did not pay that much for it but it is still a good gun. My son now takes it with him when we go rabbit or Quail hunting. He seems to enjoy it.
