Default Removing bedded barrel

How difficult is it to remove an action and barrel that has been epoxy bedded to a synthetic stock? Not sure what they used for a bedding compound....it is blue.

If the barreled actionseems stuck in the beddingyou can try putting the entire gun in the freezer. The metal will contract more than the synthetic material and it will usually come free.

I sure hope that whoever bedded the gun used a good release agent. Otherwise it aint coming out.

Remove the action screws and tap the receiver and barrel with a rawhide mallet or other nono marring type of semi soft mallet. This will usually allow you to easily remove the baeerlled action from the stock. If it still seems stuck you can turn it up side down and tap the barrel just in front of the forend.
