Default Who Makes one
A 270 with a 24 inch or longer barrel.? I have not seen one for a long time but then I just just shop for rifles like I once did. Winchester makes an 06 with a 24 inch but I have not seen a 270 in that model.

Remington makes several - the stainless 700 BDL sports a 24" barrel - as is the new SPS.

Looks like Remington is one of few that makes it with the 24" barrel. Just looked on there site and they have 700 models in CDL, SPS, SPS DM and the SPS Stainless all with the 24" barrel...

Also does Weatherby...

Winchester offers the .270 in both 22 and 24 inch barrels.
The classic sporter III, classic stainless, and classic super grade all sport 24" barrels.

Weatherby Vanguards and Mark-V ultra light weight have 24" barrels.

Thanks guys. I have shopped for used rifles lately but have not looked at new stuff. The wife likes it that way.

Thought the 270 has been on the market for many years,it has been proven that this caliber shoots better in a 22" barrel. It just does,so there you go. vangunsmith

I have just noticed that most of the reloading data is with 24 and 26 inch barrels.
