I like the 3x9x40 ziess conquest.Very good optics and a constant 4" of eye relief at a fair price. I have 3x10x42 swarovski scopes on both of my 300ultramags and I find that they have plenty of magnification for distances out to 500 yards on big game.

Zeiss Conquest 4.5-14x44 would be my choice. Good luck.

Just put on a Lps Leupold 2.5 to 10 pretty nice scope and worked well this fall and is very clear, but to do it again, I would go with a Leupold VX 111
2.5 to8x it is a fine scope. a lot less money than LPS, for me its the best valued scope out there, I have used them for 30 years and never had to use Leupolds free warranty.

Well, I usually recommend Simmons scopes, but for my 300 RUM I went with a Nikon Monarch 4-16x40. I have read alot about them, and thought I would try one on my RUM. I figure if it can handle that abuse it is pretty tough. I have had no problems so far.

I had a chance to look at one this summer at the range and the Leupold LPS caught my attention.
