Default choke choice

I just joined a rod and gun club that has trap fields. I have done my fair share of shooting skeek, but never trap. What choke tube would you guys recommend?
thanks

thanks if it is good enough to get to the state shoot, it should work just fine for me to go out to the local club and have some fun.

I would recommend that you go out and pattern the loads you intend to use through the choke. I did some of this a few years ago and it was pretty enlightening. Some loads will shoot cylinder patterns through a modified choke, and some will shoot full choke patterns through a modified choke. Generally, a pattern around 65% at 40 yards is pretty good for trap shooting.

Full choke for Trap. When you get good and start shooting from handicap yardage, you will be breaking birds way past 40 yards. Regards, Rick.
