how much shooting before an 30-06 weres out?

I am going to start reloading and plan on shooting my winchester 30-06 quite a bit. How many rounds before you start losing accuracy?

With proper cleaning and not overheating the barrel,it will likely take up to 5000 rounds or morebefore throat erosion starts to noticeably effect accuracy.

Usually cleaning is the culprit for crown and throat damage on these guns.

Depending on what load you use, i'll bet you you will start looseing some accuracy in a 30-06 long before 5,000 rounds. BUT, i also will bet you it will be plenty accurate to hunt with long after 5,000 rounds.

At least that's been my experience withcartridges with about that case capacity.
