Default Going From Handloads to Factory - Help.

I"™ve been handloading the camp"™s rounds for 8-10 years now. However, we have 2 little kids, just bought a house, my wife and I both work quite a bit, etc"¦..To put it simply, I have little spare time. My pet round for my 300 Weatherby has been a 150 grain Barnes X bullet. The last few years I had an XLC and then a Triple Shock up to about 3,400 to 3,450 fps. Can I get something similar to this in factory ammo? If so, what kind of money are we talking about these days. I"™ve only bought one box of factory 300 Wby and that was the cheapest I could find just to get some extra brass. Thanks.

Try Midway USA I think they load the Barnes bullets in their premium ammo. PMC used to load them as well.

Thanks. I remember the PMC loads. I always wondered why they were 200fps slower than the slowest factory loads from other companies. Does Federal load the X? I think Wby might but I don't want to dish out $80 a box.

If you're hunting deer why not try the 180 gr. Core Lokt load from Remington. At the local Wal Mart they have them for $27.99 a box. I don't think you will find ammo for the WBY any cheaper than that. If you want to only use X bullet in 150 gr. handloading will be your only choice.
