Best Ammo for Tikka T3 25-06

Just got a Tikka T3 Lite in 25-06 - Love it. Has any one shot this gun enough to find the best shooting round??

Even if they are the same make, model, and caliber each gun will shoot eachround of ammo differently.You are going to have to just try a few different kinds of ammo to find out. If you are looking for a place to start, I would try some Hornady 117 grain SST's or federal 115 grain nosler partitions.

I tend to disagree with hookem.I think your question is exactly what this forum is designed for.

If others have the same gun and relevant experience with various ammunition, they can certainly point you in the right direction.

Texhookem is correct.I have three friends that have the exact same model and year of rifle and all three prefer different loads.The owners are hunting partners thatbought all three guns at the same time and asked me to develop a load for them.I took one rifle and developed a load that shot sub MOA with that rifle but the other two rifles did not shoot nearly as well with the same load.I ended up using two different bullets and two different powders,but I found a load that shot MOA or better in each gun.Each rifle is an individual.
