30-06 british small arms rifle

i have a simple question i have a B.S.A. 30-06 rifle can i use 30-06 spring ammo in it it dosent say mag. any were on the rifle but i dont want to fire it in case i cant use that ammo the rifle was my dads and i grew up around it but havent seen the gun i anmost 20 years

There shouldn't be any problem, but you might have it checked by a gunsmith first. The BSA rifles were pretty good ones, but you don't hear much about them any more, they should have been more popular. Some were sold here under the Herter's name. My cousin has one in .308.
