Default Poly choke are they any good

Hey, I am borrowing my dads 12ga. Its a mossberg 500 AT . It is older than I am. I was just wondering about the poly choke thats on it. I'm not real sure on what settings I should use for hunting pheasant any one know. thanks

Seriously, I've got one installed years ago on one of my barrels for my Rem.870. Sure beats the heck out of screw in chokes.
I think for pheasant you'll find the modified or improved modified settings to be the best.

Welcome to the forum, newbie30! I bought a Mossberg 500 AT with poly There are prettier shotguns out there but I've never had the urge to trade up because this gun fits me just right.

The poly choke feature is quite good; for pheasant I set it between modified and improved, same as Virginia7 recommends. Often times pheasant just explode in your face so a wider pattern helps me with quick shots.
