Default KIMBER RIFLES

I lost my brother 3 weeks ago to a tragedy. After his death I learned that he had ordered a Kiber rifle in a 300wsm. So this past weekend I went and completed the purchase.

Not knowing anything about these rifles, what makes these rifles so expensive? I must say it's seems very smooth, the trigger will need zero work and the rifle itself seems very light. I have always owned Remingtons in the past and was just wondering.

Kimber rifles are as good as they get. Mine (and I suspect yours) has a match grade barrel and chamber, extremely smooth and well constructed trigger, and excellent wood which is hand fitted and finished (after the CNC process I am told). All that costs extra, thus the higher price. You have a gun thatshould last you and your Son a lifetime. Sorry to hear about the loss of your Brother.

sorry for you loss as well 7, at least the rifle will be your "link" in the woods too your brother. I would even have his initials or image engraved on it if it were mine. My brother lost an infant son and had a new rifle engraved on the floorplate with his sons initials. It really is a neat gesture. That was his ONLY son and sometimes he just has a morning or afternoon afield with just "him and his son".

Kimber is as good as it gets. I have several Remingtons and only one that came from their Custom Shop is even comparable too a stock 84/8400M Kimber.
