Default rem. 597

I was just wondering if anyone knew a way that I could get the trigger pull lighter on my remington 597 .22. I'd like to use it squirrel hunting but with the pull being as heavy as it is, i'm not able to shoot it as well as I think I should at longer ranges (i have had the triggers lightened on my two deer rifles and seen how big of a difference they can make) Thanks

The only way to change the trigger on a 597 is to change the engagement angles slightly so that you aren't pulling against the hammer spring as much, and polish all of the surfaces to a mirror shine.

Definetly not something I would advise anyone attempting with out knowing what they were doing. Take it to a gunsmith.
