Default Need a little advice.

I currently have a Savage .223 and am looking at either a Remington Bdl or a Ruger M77 in .223. Whats you suggestion.

First off, why do you want to change from the Savage to another brand of rifle? Next of your options listed, I would go with the 700 BDL. I have had a lot of them and never a problem one. The Ruger is a good rifle with a lousy trigger but if you make up your mind to change the trigger or replace it then they are a good rifle.

welcome 700bdl, i like remingtons also, but if i already had the savage i'm not sure i would buy another gun in the same caliber, although i do own two 7mm mag's and a 7mm STW, i guess you can never have tooo many guns

I think that the Savage is a fine choice. If I were to get another .223 I would think that I would go with the Remington 700, but I would prefer the varmint model. These are really nice guns.

Remington. Hands down. But, I have to agree with Mthands, why the same cal.? I'd move up. Is there a reason you want two .223's? Maybe look at the .243 or .270 if you don't want the bigger cal.'s.

Well the reason is i am looking to get a more so target gun. My Savage i have used for 6 years now and put thousands of rounds through itwether hunting or target shooting and so i want a newer one to shoot competition with.

Change the barrel on the Savage. It is fast and cheap.
