I hope there area a few around here that might be able to answer my question.
I have a glock 19 in 9mm can I upgrade this, by replacing the upper housing, to a 40cal.?
Thanks,

I have a G17 and G23 and am pretty sure that G19 and G23 slides do not interchange. I believe that you can replace the barrel on a G23 in 40 cal. with a 357 Sig barrel. As far as I have ever heard, that is the only interchangeable parts.

I have the Glock 23 compact is 40 S&W. I am not sure if you can swap the upper out or not, but my guess is no. I don't see how the magazine for the 40 would be the same dimension as the magazine for the 9mm.

I don't know if you can swap them or not, I used to have a glock 9mm but had to get rid of it. Nice gun, I wouldn't mind getting another some day.

I do know there is a Glock forum though. I am sure they would know the answer. Just do a search on yahoo or google.

I had all of the full size Glocks. I never heard of changing slides on them. I no longer own any of the Glocks.

No. It was just ME. I never could get used to not having a manual safety and no visable hammer. They are excellent handguns and I never had a function or accuracy problem. The 10 MM was the most accurate however none of them showed any lack of accuracy. The 40 is a very good cartridge.

I agree, the triggers are a bit odd and took some getting used to. But once you get used to it they are good guns. Just have to remember to keep that finger off the trigger until you are going to shoot!

I liked my Browning Hi power better, but if I had to get a gun for carry it would most likely be a glock.

My carry gun is the Ruger 45 Auto and/or the K frame 357 Mag.
