Scope rings too low and forward

Alright, Just stuck my new simmons 44 mag ontop my ruger 77 30-06. The scope touched the barrel in the front and the bolt handle rubbed the eyepiece. The scope was also too far forward.

What mount do you guys recommend to make it higher?

Get you a set of medium or maybe even high rings. If you have the right bases for the 77 the scope should adjust to fit you.

Go up one ring size, from low to medium for example, and get extension mounts if necessary. They will allow you to bring the scope farther back.

With your rifle being a ruger, all you need to do is get some taller rings, since the mounts are part of your rifle. ruger makes 3 heights, so you should find what you need
