Default Mossberg 835 adjustment

I have a Mossberg 835 and the pump part of the gun is to far forward for me to grip it comfortably and was wondering if it would be possible to bring it in closer so it would be more comfortable.

I don't know about the 835 but the 500 you can get one with shorter slides for the youth models. I am short and have the same problem. Almost every rifle I own if I shoot it off hand my hand sits on the reciever or mag well. I do not like extended or removable magazines for this reason. And the bottom eject guns are deffinately out for me. I love the way brownings look, but can't deal with the bottom eject.

I don't know if you could modify one or not. I have only held an 835 once, let alone had one apart.

Not sure about the fore-stock, but you can shorten the pull by removing some of the rear stock. Not hard to do yourself if you want to. Not like you have a collector piece. That will get your left hand furher forward.
