Default WTB remington 760BDL LH, .308 preferred

Anyone with info on a lefty remington 760BDL in .308, please let me know. No gun shops nearby carry anything like it. Also would like any information on converting the safety on standard 760/7600 to a lefty setup.

Don't know of where to get a lefty 760 but I can help with the safety. I don't think Remington made a left handed 760.

Pull out the trigger group. Once you pull it out you can see a roll pin just above the safety selector switch. That roll pin is holding in a spring and detent plunger. Drive out that roll pin but make sure that you don't let the spring go flying. Turn the trigger group upside down and tap out the spring and plunger then you can turn around the safety selector switch and reinstall the plunger, spring and the roll pin.

They made some LH Remington Pumps but I never saw one in 308. I only remember 270 and 30-06. I shoot LH as well but never saw the need for the LH action. They also made some LH auto rifles as well.

thanks for the info. The 760 LH is not a LH action, just LH stock and safety I believe. Also, does anyone know if the 760/7600 come in different action lengths? If I can't get what I want in .308, I may go with a .30-06. Are the actions different or are they like the Savage 110? (my savage 110 in .243 has the longest bolt in .243 history and really slows cycle time!)

760's are all the same action, they just use a mag block on the short cals. If you buy an aftermarket safety they can be switched to lefty. The 760 and 742 were available in a BDL version for awhile which could be had with a LH stock. T s/a LH 700 should be available from remmy
RR

Best advise I can give you is buy a 7600 and switch the safety, lots better bolt for lots longer life, its also avail in other cals if your thinking about a rebarrel. Its very expensive to have the barrels changed to non shandard cals.
