Default O/U Shotguns

I'm looking to buy anew 20 ga O/U shotgun and wanted some opinions. I will be primarily using it for upland hunting and I'm looking to spend about $1800 (max). There are (3) guns that I'm looking at, but would appreciate any input:

1) Browning, Cynergy
2) Ruger, Red Label
3) Beretta, Silver Pidgeon S

Let me know your thoughts and thanks.

As a gunsmith, I can tell you that the Browning is the most trouble free of the lot.

rugers are known to pinch if you have your hand under the action. the brownings and berrettas are great guns. i think you will want to go and see haw each of them fit you. Choose form there.

Back in 1967 I use to use a BerettaSilver Snipe and sold
it for $300. How I wished I had it back!!

Roskoe: Thanks for the great expert opinion. Does this go for even this new style which is only a couple of years old?

Gopher: I own a Browning BPS and have tried the 12 ga Cynergy for size. It fits and feels nice, but would like to find a 20 ga. I would also like to find a place where I could shoot all three (or more if there are other options). The Berretta was recommended to me by a long time wingshooter who said they are wonderful guns.

Rebel: If you still had it I'd buy it from you for $350. Heck, I may even go up to $400!

Look at the Browning Citori Lightning 20ga. This is the one I want when I get one. The Red labels are nice too.

It's refreshing to see someone willing to spend enough to get a good O/U...instead of some %^*&%#@ built thing.

My personal feelings is that the SKB 505 and other models are to be considered in the top values of over/under shotguns

www.skbshotguns.com

also the Browning Citori

I personally would not recommend any of the ones you have listed.

I was actually talking more about the Citori - although the new ones haven't shown any sign of design weakness.

Vapodog:

I hope the guns work better than the website. I've been trying to access it since yesterday and my computer keeps locking up. Maybe I should take it personally.

I'll keep trying and thanks for the suggestion.
