Default Looking for a good used 30-30?

I want to get a Marlin 30-30,but I am also on a budget. What should I look for when picking out a used gun. What kind of price should go along with it. Thanks for any help.

A good used 30-30 shouldn't be too hard to find...... go into any gun shop and you'll probably find a bunch in the $200-$250 range. Try Gunbroker.com.

I'd try to get a Marlin 336. I have one..... don't use it much. Email me if interested broey@aol.com.

Um what borey said, and if your budget is about 400 or lower you looking for the right gun and you can't go wrong with the marlin 336, i personally have the 336A(30-30) and it is a very accurtate gun its pretty light 7lbs with out the scope and sling and with my gun i think (not quiet sure) about 5 years ago it was 329(somewhere around there)new idk what they are now i can't really helpyou out on that but look around more and more the deals seem to pop up atweird times
Andit also depends do you wantone with a scope and sling or doyou wnat it without a scope? But you can't go wrong with the good ol'd marlin

Definitely look at new nes before yo buy used. Sometimes there is not much price difference when you consider the $$ saved vs. the ware on the gun. You definietly can't go wrong with a 336. Try WalMart for a new one.

I have one and I love it.

Definitely look around. Here in Texas, Marlins are pretty common in pawnshops--I've picked up a couple of nice used ones for well under $200, including ascope.

A new Marlin 336-W (hardwood stock) will run you about $275 at Wal-Mart. Hard to go wrong at that.
