Default my new gun and scope

well it happend. i got weak and bought a new gun! i bought a brand spanking new marlin guide gun 45/70 in stainless. it's a beauty!! i also bought a leupold 2.5x scout scope and i ordered an ashley scout lever action mount and also a pair of ghost rings from them. for rings i got a pair of leupold quick release rings. i can't wait to get the mount and put the scope on! i also picked up 2 boxes of winchester 300gr jhp but i havn't gotten a chance to take her out to the range yet. i can't wait tho! i'm gonna use this setup for deer this fall. i find myself touching it over and over again LOL! i absolutly love this gun.

cheers!

First time I shot a 45-70 I was really surprised at how mild the recoil is. Good luck with it and enjoy.

should of got the 450marlin <img src=icon_smile_big.gif border=0 align=middle> just kidding not a bad little toy you got.
i know i am afraid to use it in my stand cause of the recoil and being afraid of getting kicked off the othert side of the stand.
i did have the ashely peep sights on my marlin 336SS in 30-30win and she was pretty good. but i like the williams peep sight alot better.
if i am not mistaken the stainless steel models don't have the screws on the side to mount the willaims. or did they change them?
