Default Redfield Scopes

Any one with any experience with this brand? Quality of optics, durability...?

I don't know the model. Its a wide view 3-9x40. New in the box from a year or so ago. No doubt one of the latter models. Sounds like I'd do well to put up the my simmons for another year, save the penneys, and buy the Leuapold vxII I've been looking at.
